What would happen if the body of Christ united in prayer and repentance? For weeks I have sensed an urgency in my spirit for prayer and intercession to arise from the body of Christ. It is not only an urgency to pray when calamity strikes, but it is an urgency to pray without ceasing and to be a catalyst for the next great move of God. It is by no mistake that I release this word on this particular day. It was on this day one hundred and sixty years ago that a movement began, fanning the flames of the third great awakening in our nation. It started with a key ingredient necessary for revival and reformation. It started with a prayer meeting.
Heavenly interruptions are coming. This spontaneous song bubbled up out of my spirit during a Tuesday morning prayer meeting. The next thing I heard seemed strange but relevant, “We interrupt your regularly scheduled program to bring breaking news.” The Lord was speaking, and He was making His desire clear to bring heavenly interruptions to His people and through His people. The Holy Spirit dropped more revelation in my spirit about being a conduit of His Heavenly interruptions. I believe these Heavenly interruptions are coming not only on a personal level, but they are coming on a corporate level.
And David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue after this band? Shall I overtake them?” He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake and shall surely rescue.”
And David struck them down from twilight until the evening of the next day, and not a man of them escaped, except four hundred young men, who mounted camels and fled. David recovered all that the Amalekites had taken, and David rescued his two wives. Nothing was missing, whether small or great, son or daughters, spoil or anything that had been taken. David brought back all. 1 Samuel 30:8,17-19
“Speak, Lord. Your servant is listening.” These are the words I heard a few days ago as I was in a time of prayer. The Lord directed me to 1 Samuel 3, and He spoke to me through this passage about prophets of Presence emerging within regions and territories. I want to share with you what the Holy Spirit shared with me.
As I released this word before the intercessors in our church recently, the Presence of God gripped me in such a way that I could sense this word shifting me personally. Last week in my private time, I heard these words in my spirit, “Get your affairs in order”. It seemingly came out of nowhere, but I knew that the Holy Spirit was sharing a word with me extending beyond my own personal existence. I thought about these words for a day or so until I heard the words, “paradigm shift” in my spirit. The Lord was putting a word in me to share with the body of Christ, and it has stirred in me ever since. These two separate words are linked, and He wants our attention. A holy paradigm shift is upon us. Do we want it?
Can you hear the breath of God in the challenging times? I have a word for those of you standing in a place of seeming entrapment. The Lord directed me to Exodus 14 recently, and He revealed some prophetic teaching about Red Sea moments. There are some of you being set up for such a moment as this, and your Red Sea moment holds the breath of God to make a way for victory.
As I glanced around the room this past Sunday morning, I saw bodies prostrate in the altar, and I heard the cries and the worship of those pressing into the Lord. The service had taken a different course as the Holy Spirit manifested in our midst through us. I remained kneeling on the floor, pouring out my adoration to God, and grateful to be in such a place where He is permitted to have His way. This is what happens when the Lion is unleashed from within His people. This is what happens when lion tamers are abandoned.
Have you ever stepped into your God ordained assignment only to be opposed by a familiar enemy, an enemy you thought was conquered? I can testify to this very thing in my own life, and I am sure many of you can as well. I was standing in a corporate gathering recently when the Lord reminded me of the account at Baal Perazim in 2 Samuel 5. For those of you who have transitioned into your God ordained assignment, be encouraged in the face of opposition, and understand that the name of your battlefield reflects your relationship with the Lord. “You are not alone in the metamorphosis.” I want to share a word with those of you who are going through the process of transformation unto the Lord. I heard the word, metamorphosis in my spirit a few weeks ago, and I have been meditating on what God wanted to share, as He whispered this word into my spirit.
Metamorphosis is defined as “a change of the form or nature of a thing or person into a completely different one“. We often think of the amazing transformation of the caterpillar becoming a butterfly. The caterpillar is appreciated for its growth in its season while the butterfly is envied and admired for its beauty. But there is more than meets the eye with the caterpillar and the butterfly. She was large and lurking in the corner of a basement. I knew what type of spider it was the moment I saw the red hourglass on her abdomen. I went from seeing this vision to seeing cobwebs in the front of residences I did not recognize.
Boldness began to rise up on the inside of me as I cursed the black widow, commanding her to die. I then found myself declaring the demise of her egg sac, prophesying destruction to every curse and every attack attempting to be birthed against the Kingdom of God.
